Everyone who uses a vehicle on the road, by law, must keep it in a roadworthy condition. If your vehicle is over 3 years old, the MOT is an annual safety check designed to ensure that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards.

At London City Garages your MOT will be carried out by a nominated tester (a person authorised by the government appointed body VOSA (Vehicle Operator Services Agency). The nominated tester will carryout the following inspections and checks around your vehicle in a designated testing bay:

• vehicle identification number
• registration plate
• steering and suspension
• windscreen
• wipers and washer bottle
• horn
• lights
• seats
• seatbelts
• fuel system
• exhaust system
• emissions
• mirrors
• doors
• brakes
• wheels and tyres
• bodywork

The results of each check are recorded. If your vehicle passes its MOT, a VT20 Certificate is issued. If your vehicle fails the required standard, a VT30 failure document is issued detailing the reasons why your vehicle failed. (please speak to the nominated tester for further advice)

We offer three kinds of vehicle service:

1. Oil service: Carried out in between regular services
2. Interim Service: Designed for high mileage vehicles or manufacturer regular check recommendations
3. Full Service: An extensive range of checks once a year.
